A lube oil production facility needed to conduct plant winterization activities before an approaching arctic cold front arrived. The arctic cold front was expected to bring low temperatures of around -22 degrees Fahrenheit. The lube oil upload and discharge points and process reservoirs are located outside and exposed to the ambient air temperature. Low temperatures less than 0 degrees Fahrenheit would shut down the facility and prevent production and shipment of the plants products.

SG Integrations mobilized a work crew in less than three days. Upon arrival at the plant location, SG Integrations engineered, installed and energized over 3,000 feet of heating cable and 9 heated blanket systems before the arctic cold arrived which would have shut down the plant. The results of SG Integrations involvement on the project was a plant that stayed operational even when outside temperatures reached -22 degrees Fahrenheit. |
